Merthyr Town FC are based in the centre of Merthyr and play out of their famous Penydarren Park ground. They currently are playing the English Pyramid System in the Southern Premier League.

Merthyr Town Football Club is pleased to announce the continued sponsorship of DT Contracting (South West) Ltd for the 2023/24 season.
On top of the many contributions they make to the club, they will also sponsor pitch side banners and be supporting the goalkeeping and defensive coaches for the new campaign.

A Wales veterans football league was first established in 2009, but in order to satisfy Football Association of Wales (FAW) criteria, a root and branch overhaul was carried out, including a re-think of its key objectives and reasons for existence, and in 2016 the Wales Veterans Football Association (WVFA) was formed.
This democratic, transparent and dynamic organisation received the full backing of its members and recognition by its governing bodies at the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and the South Wales Football Association (SWFA)
